Answers to "Mike's Puzzler"

1. A father and son are driving in a car and get into an accident. The father is uninjured but the son is severely hurt; he is rushed to the hospital and into surgery. The surgeon comes in and looks at the boy and says "I cannot operate on my own son." How can this be?
Answer: The surgeon is the boy's mother. If you didn't get this one it may be time for Diversity 101.

2. Add the following numbers in YOUR HEAD (no paper & pencil). Take 1000 and add 40 to it. Now add another 1000. Now add 30. Now add another 1000. Now add 20. Now add another 1000. Now add 10. Now, what is the total?
Answer: 4100.  If you got this one right ask a friend to do it.   Most people will think it's 5000.  Don't believe us? Try it!

3. Based on the laws in the U.S. Constitution there are 5 requirements to become president of the U.S. The candidate must be at least 35; be a U.S. citizen; reside in the U.S. for 14 years; & be born in the U.S.. There is one more requirement, what is it?
Answer:  If you ask Al Gore this question he may say one would need to win a court battle.  The answer, however, is one needs to be elected.
